Campaign Strategy
"Co-ops Change Everything"
Olympia Food Co-op

About Co-ops Change Everything Campaign
Olympia Food Co-op (2019). That year, all of our marketing revolved around the power of co-ops to affect change. From highlighting the local organizations we funded and the work they did, to sharing the impacts of our sustainability initiatives, we coordinated social media, events, website, newsletter, classes, and sales, with a theme that revolved around this premise. Eash season, we featured a different aspect of life that co-ops change.

To encompass this strategy, I wrote a series of articles titled, "Co-ops Create Change," and pubished them in our quarterly newsletter. In spring, we focused on how co-ops change our environment. This included a focus promoting our Garden Center products, ideas for plant-based meals, a plant-based Faux-B-Q event in our parking lot with recycled fashion show from our Free Store inventory. In the summer, we demonstrated how co-ops change our economy—highlighting our local farmers who keep money circulating in the local economy, and other local cooperative businesses like book stores and home caregivers. During the fall, co-ops change our understanding, with a spotlight on the Co-op's committment to social justice training and restorative justice practices. Finally, for winter, co-ops change our communities with a detailed celebration of the charitable giving we accomplished.
